Parents, teachers remember Monrovia kindergarten teacher who died in car collision

Maggie Clark, a dedicated Whole Brain Teacher, now lives with the angels.  Tragically, the 44 year old veteran teacher died May 8, 2010 in a traffic accident on her way to a Whole Brain Teaching conference in San Jacinto, California.  According to Kirk McGinnis, her principal at Mayflower elementary school in Monrovia, Maggie worked at the school since 1988 and was adored by parents, children and her fellow teachers.

"She's the type of teacher that was constantly thinking about how to make learning meaningful for her kids," McGinnis said. "She impacted the lives of our students and families and staff in such a wonderful way."

Fellow Mayflower teacher Ella Robertson called Maggie a "master teacher.  She affected everybody's life.  She was a marvelous person.

Everyone loved her."

Chris Biffle recalls Maggie as “lively, articulate, a high energy educator who was a blessing to her friends and colleagues.  We at Whole Brain Teaching offer our prayers and condolences to her family.  We will do everything we can to preserve Maggie’s precious memory.”
